PSG Bursary Programme 2026

Fields of Study Covered

The bursary supports students who will study (or are currently studying) in one of the following fields:

  • Actuarial Science (BSc)

  • Computer Science (BSc)

  • Mathematical Science (BSc)

  • Chemical Engineering (BSc Eng)

  • Computer Engineering (BSc Eng)

  • Electrical & Electronic Engineering (BSc Eng)

  • Industrial Engineering (BSc Eng)

  • Mechanical Engineering (BSc Eng)

What the Bursary Covers

Successful recipients will receive financial support that may include:

  • Tuition fees

  • Registration fees

  • Accommodation costs

  • Book allowance

  • Monthly allowance for living/transport expenses

Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.

  • Have completed Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

  • Be studying or intending to study towards one of the approved fields listed above.

  • Be entering their final year of an undergraduate programme or be pursuing postgraduate studies in 2026.

  • Demonstrate financial need.

  • Have a strong academic record.

  • Certified copy of ID document.

  • Full academic record or transcripts (on institution letterhead).

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).

  • If applicable, proof of registration for the upcoming academic year in the selected field.
